Budget Babe

Since I’m well into my pregnancy I won’t be attending any crazy music festivals this time of year. If I were going here’s a super affordable easy outfit I’d throw into my bag. As one of my “Budget Babe” looks, this complete ensemble totals in at just under $100. All pieces including the accessories are from Forever21. Nothing I’m wearing here is designed specifically for maternity, so these are things that I can wear again once I deliver. I’ve been searching for clothes that are loose and versatile because it’s annoying to think about spending money on items I wouldn’t fit into just months from now. This blouse is perfect for spring! I love the deign of the embroidery and it’s so light it can double as a cover up at the beach. It’s definitely something I’ll keep in my closet once my baby bump days are behind me. The shorts have a fun southwestern pattern to them and fit into the laid back vibe. I bought them in one size larger than I normally wear to fit my belly. The hat is a pretty navy color with a black tassel accent. I love these oversized tortoise shell sunnies & burgundy fringe bag. (Again all from Forever21!) These sandals remind me of a pair my friend got last summer from JCrew, and I complemented her on them all the time. Hers were silver, but I like this white and grey color combo.

I’m excited to announce a new section of my blog, “Budget Babe.” Every other week I will be posting an outfit that totals in around $100. I want to show women that you can still look very stylish without wearing a head to toe designer look. Nautical is a huge trend for spring so I chose this Zara dress for my first post. The simple style is easy to throw on and the cut out detail on the back gives it a fresh look. The fabric is also textured which gives it a more luxe feel than your average cotton t-shirt dress. I paired it with this oversized faux suede fringe bag. 70’s inspired looks are making a comeback so you’ll be seeing a lot of suede and fringe embellishments on the rise. I don’t normally buy light colored canvas shoes because I hate spending money on something that will probably get ruined quickly, but this cute espadrille pair are so affordable I snatched them up immediately. I also grabbed these aviators which remind me a lot of my Michael Kors pair but were a tiny fraction of what that pair cost! And that my friends, is how to put together an easy casual outfit without breaking the bank!
